Do you experience uncomfortable digestive symptoms after eating? If you have a food suspect in mind, let’s test it! If you haven’t already, we highly recommend using your FoodMarble AIRE device and app to do a custom food challenge.
Why, you might ask?
It’s a really useful way to test any food that you suspect is the culprit of your digestive symptoms. However, some foods have more than one FODMAP present. Our food database contains over 500 foods (we keep adding more) so we recommend checking to see which FODMAP(s) is present in the food before starting the challenge. Please keep in mind, if you experience a response during the custom challenge, it could be attributable to any of the FODMAPs present.

Lots of FoodMarblers have been busy testing a range of foods and drinks, so we wanted to share the most commonly tested foods so far. To make the exercise as useful as possible, we have included a suggested serving size for the foods, just in case you want to test one for yourself.
Below is a table containing the most common foods custom tested by our FoodMarble users to date! You might notice that some foods do not contain any FODMAPs. Some non-FODMAP containing foods can irritate your gut and cause digestive symptoms. For example coffee, which contains no FODMAPs, is a common gut irritant and can trigger digestive symptoms in many people with IBS. However these symptoms would be unrelated to fermentation or gas production and would not result in a high fermentation score on the AIRE device.
All suggested serving sizes are high in FODMAPs, so please be aware that a meal high in fermentable carbohydrates may cause digestive discomfort. However, it is important to perform a custom challenge using a portion size that you would normally eat, so it reflects your regular diet as much as possible.
